Question about Grave's Disease and Thyroid Eye

Hello.
I'm 21M and about 15 days ago, my left eye got red. As I had experienced this before and it usually went away with use of artificial tears, I started using it but unlike other times, it didn't improve. So we went to an oculoplastic surgeon and he prescribed Dexamethasone, Ciprofloxacin, and Cholamphenicol drops alongside artificial tear. However, he also ordered Orbital CT and TFT.
So the results came and TFT was all normal except that Total T3 was borderline, but apparently my medial rectus muscle was enlarged. Based on this, he diagnosed me with TED and prescribed Prednisolone and also ordered another blood work for next month and he said if my situation doesn't improve by then, he will start Cell Cept.
I should also add that in recent month I have had hair loss, excessive sweeting, fatigue, anxiety, and a period of weight loss. And as a side note, my mother has Hashimoto's if it matters.
So my question is, is it possible that I have Grave's Disease? Also, is this possible that the diagnosis was wrong? Should test for TSI, TRAb, and Anti-TPO?

Sorry, in my previous post I said your diagnosis of TED and symptoms seem to fit with hypothyroidism.  I meant to say they fit more with hyperthyroidism..

Yet your lab results don't seem to confirm that.  FT3 and FT4 are the active thyroid hormones that largely determine your thyroid status.  Your TSH does not indicate a problem.  Your Total T3 is in the high end of range, yet your FT3 is .ow in the range.  Both your TT4 and FT4 are near mid-range.  If I were only looking at test results and ignoring symptoms, I would say you are more hypo.  In view of all your info,  I see nothing conclusive.  So before proceeding with the oculoplastic surgeion, and his diagnosis of TED, I think you should see an Endocrinologist and get a second opinion about possible cause for your problem.

Before discussion, what was the Total T3 result and reference range shown on the lab report?  I am not as familiar with hyperthyroidism as I am with hypothyroidism; however, the diagnosis of TED and the symptoms you mentioned seem to fit with hypothyroidism.  Were you also tested for FT4 and TSH?  If so, please post those as well.

The lab results were the following (as a sidenote, I took Thyroid Ab tests anyways):
TSH  1.53   R 0.25 - 5
Total T3 2.22   R 0.9 - 2.33
Total T4 90.4  R 60 - 120
Free T3 4.4   R 4 - 8.3
Free T4 11.6  R 8 - 19
Anti-TPO <0.8
TGAb 12.4   R <40
TRAb 1.30

Values after R represent the reference range.
