I am the gal that has a 1.9cm and a 1.4cm nodule on a multinodular thyroid.  The FNA came back as benign adenoma with benign Hurthle cells.  My doc sent the slides to the Univ. of Miami to get a second opinion given the Hurthle cell thing.   The pathologists at U of M agreed.  I do nothing now for 6 months and have another ultrasound to see if they have grown.  I am a diabetic and go to my doc every 3 months, so I will see her in 3 months and she will have a thyroid panel done for me.  I have not had one done.  Six months ago my TSH was .46.  The doc believes I am going into Hashimotos---my sis, bro and dad all have it.  I want to thank each and everyone of you who responded and I know that this will continue to be a journey for me.  I will visit soon.  Good health to all of you.  L

CONGRATULATIONS on the benign news!!  Please stay proactive with the thyroid and learn as much as you can about all the required treatments and especially your labs.  So read ,read, and read some more for every ounce of info you can get your eyes on. The thyroid is a tricky butterfly!

  Best Wishes ~
