Small Fiber Neuropathy - Did it get better once Hypo was treated?

I have Small Fiber Neuropathy.  Doc ran tests and found out that I was hypo, and now I (think) I'm fairly balanced (I need to back for another blood test, but I feel okay considering everything else).  My SFN started in July and I've been getting it managed with meds.  I don't know exactly what caused the SFN, I'm not diabetic and I was injured about a year ago where they had to put an epidural in me for three days.  My guess is the SFN started because of that injury.

Nobody has told me if this will get better or not.  What I'm wondering is that those of you with SFN, does it get better after you've treated your hypothyroidism, and if so, how long does it take?

There is no known cure for Small Fiber Neuropathy, Although there is promosing results in use of Methylcobalamine (Vitamin B12) in High Doses
Hypothyroid is listed as one of the diseases that cause SFN, The Vitamin B12 treatment heals the damaged nerve covering (Myelin Sheath) You might want to locate a Neurologist that provides this treatment. I have Nerve Damage to the Myelin Sheath also but caused by Post Polio Syndrome, and I am considering requesting the same from my Neurologist.  Best Wishes  FTB4
