Surgery is over

Had my surgery on Wednesday.  Wow, that was NOT fun.  I am home and slowly feeling better.  I can talk softly and my voice sounds like it will be fine and maybe no more raspiness (there are good moments all ready).  Just can't talk loud yet.

My surgeon thought I had three large lobes (all 5 cm) but my isthmus was just that large.  She said it was the largest isthmus she's ever seen.  She said I should have been coughing and choking with how large it was and wrapped around my trachea.  I am so relieved to have it out.  It was a tough procedure though.

The nodule went to path and I should have that report on Wednesday.  Just praying it is cancer free so I can officially be on the path to recovery.
