Need suggestions or some input

I have had the same classic symptoms (fatigue, hair falling out, very dry skin, no sex drive, and feels like a band around my neck and a feeling like my throat is closed up). I have had the thyroid tests 4 times in the past 7 yrs and every time, all my levels (TSH, T3, and T4) are at the very low end of normal. My doctor seems to think I am developing Hashimoto's (my cousin also has this and my mother has hypothyroidism) so he sent me to an endo. dr. who told me that my thyroid is fine because it is in the normal range. Also, we found out a year ago that my vitamin D was low (should be around 50 I believe) and mine was 18, took Vit. D, dropped to 15, more Vit. .D, dropped to 12, prescription strength Vit. D (60,000 IU/week) and it has dropped to 9. As my vit. d dropped, my cholesterol jumped from 70something to nearly 400. I read that if the thyroid isn't working properly that it somehow stores cholesterol instead of calcium. I am a 38 yr old woman with arthritis in all my joints now and my teeth are decaying. Oh, and I've had layers of skin gone in the corners of my mouth (my dr called it cheilosis and said it was a vitamin deficiency). If anyone has ANY suggestions or information that will help, I would really really appreciate it! I feel like I have run out of options and get more tired every passing day.
My last test results a couple months ago were:
Well, ****, can't find my T3 results but it is pretty much like the rest on the very low end of normal. My TSH is 0.53 (normal range shows 0.4 - 5.5) and my Free T4 is 0.87 (normal range shows 0.71 - 1.85)

So many people go through what your going through. I do not understand why some Drs will only go by labs and not symptoms.
It looks like your Frees need to be in the higher range.
Yes, high cholesterol can be a symptom of thyroid disease.
I would find another Endo that will listen to your symptoms and look at your Frees. TSH is not always the best indicator of thyroid problems.
Many people with low thyroid also have low calcium levels.
I hope you can find a new Endo soon. It does sound like you have Hashi's from what you said. Have you had the antibodies tests done? Those will tell you if you have Hash's or not. Hang in there and don't give up until you have answers. Take care. Remar

Thanks so much for the response! I really appreciate it! Forgot to mention that I lost my voice awhile back and it never really came back....really hoarse sounding all the time now. I keep trying to read up on the vitamin d deficiency to see if that is related to the thyroid issues...but everything I read is about people that were deficient and took megadoses and their levels came up. I took over-the-counter, vit. d level still dropped, took prescription strength, still dropped. Nothing has brought it back up yet. I really have a gut feeling that it's all related..the thyroid, vitamin d, cholesterol and all.

I have no advice because I am hyperthyroid...The only thing I would say is to keep searching for a dr./endo who will listen to you.  Don't give up hope that some one out there will be able to help you in this difficult time!

Mellowscout...just keeps praying.
