new to thyroid problem scared please help

Hi I'm new to this community. Back in November I went to the ER because I was really dizzy. They did complete blood work up and I asked for  a copy of that work the next day. In ER they told me I was dehydrated. When I saw blood work next day I got scared b/c my white blood cells were 13.7. I went and saw a new doctor because my old doc was ignoring my symptoms. She rechecked blood and after listening to my heart 115 beats per minute and was determined I had a throid problem. The first time she just checked my tsh, free t4 and free t3 that was normal. Then I had to come back for more blood work she checked my antiboties that was abnormal she decided I had throiitis and we would recheck in 6 weeks. Now I just got It rechecked and my free t4 was 2.0 (abnormal range0.9-1.7) and my
TSH .01 (0.27-4.20) so this would be abnormal right? Under my TSH it says This TSH test has a functional sensitivity of .01. This meets requirements of 3rd generation high sensitive TSH assay. What does that mean? Doc seemed to be only concerned with t4. I also still have inflamation. I am scheduled to have RAIU done next week but i'm scared to death and don't understand any of this. My mom has melanoma and is extremely i'll so i'm terrified that I am going to get cancer of some sort. Can someone please help me to understand?

Looks like you are hyper.

Usually AR-10 is good at these things. He will chime in pretty soon....

I'm sorry you are having such a tough time. You are not alone...you came to the right place for support and answers!

With a TSH of .01, I'd say it's abnormal. I believe that normal is .3 - 3.0.  Someone here will correct me if I'm wrong. =)

RAIU - is that to ablate the gland? Did they give you any meds to try? I don't know much about T4, but many here do and can help you.

I wish you the best of luck, and I hope you will soon have some answers.
