HYperthyroidism???

HI I was wondering if you could be hyperthyroid without it showing on a normal blood panel for T3 and T4. I have been having serious problems with tachycardia, insomnia, inability to calm down, losing hair and, (Eeewwww) getting a skin mustache. Thrown in with a tad bit of twitching and nonstop headaches and I feel
like I am going crazy. I have 3 kids to care for and it is taking a toll. Been going on now for about 2 months since I had an ear infection and iodine ct scan done. It started a few days after that with severe panic/death feeling ( not like anxiety) and the scary I AM GOING TO DIE feeling is gone but it still feels like my body is feeding me speed. They tested me for a pheochromocytoma (forgive spelling) but none of that.Anyway please let me know. Soo tired of not being able to sleep for more than a few hours a night. Thanks

Sounds like your endo ran a thyroid panel since you elaude to a normal T3&4. Ask if they can run other endocrine tests, as well as testing your adrenals.

Have you ever had your thyroid tested?  If so post your results.  If not, I'd definitely have it tested.  If you have hashimoto's you can have these symptoms when you are in a hyper phase, or even when you are in a hypo one.  I have had everything you have experienced.  I have hashimoto's that turns into hashimotos toxicosis (the hyper phase). My free t3 and free t4 almost ALWAYS fall withing normal range even though my tsh travels anywhere from .001-26.  When my tsh was 3.4 (normal) I had an uptake which showed I was hyper.
