I agree .. you should call. It may be from swelling of the nodule but I'm not a doctor. I would have the FNA repeated again ... this way you have a better idea what is going on. The waiting is the worst.
Maybe the Dr will allow some Advil type product to help if it is swollen from trauma to the area. The feeling you describe I had externall for about 2 days. LIke a sore muscle.

I never had any problems post FNA. However I stopped and read, entirely your post, because it sounded just like my "accidental" introduction to the "thyroid" world... I too had a CT for an unrelated salivary gland issue. On the bottom of the report, the very last thing... it said "nodules" and signs of "calcification" (I didn't know then, but that's code for: "could be cancer"). I got a copy of the scan faxed to me and *I* asked the doctor about the sad last little sentence on the report... Cut to today. I sit here one year post TT for thyroid cancer about to do a second radioactive iodine scan tomorrow to make sure the cancer is gone for good.
If that FNA gave you problems and you're still having complications today, CALL the endo. NOW! Demand a repeat FNA ASAP or at least some sort of resolution to the pain and pressure you're feeling. I don't mean to scare you, or to imply that your nodules are cancer. I have no idea about your particular situation. And I'm not a doctor, just a patient, like you. But your situation sounded so much like mine and it's just really nothing to mess around with.
I am bumping this so that maybe I can get some responses. Any replies would be greatly appreciated.
