concern

Had total thyrodectomy on DEC 22, 2010 due to suspicion for papillary cancer (nodules on both lobes, left nodule was 1x3.5cm and right had few very small) . Post op pathology showed it was indeed papillary cancer and also surgeon had removed 14 lymph nodes around, of which 6 had cancer also. Post op the surgeon said it is contained, will be meeting endocrinologist for further treatment plan coming Friday.

But now feel like gland near my shoulder and neck is swollen now but no pain. Is this just my worries or does this happen normally or is it spreading further ???  the truth is I am really worried and scared.....

i am currently on synthroid, calcitriol & vitD+oscal.
Went and met PCP regarding this and she felt a small lump there but was saying it was not lymph node and told me to meet surgeon. So met with surgeon regarding this . He is always in a hurry, he didnt even take the time to feel it, quick glance and a slight touch and said there is nothing.....& dont worry abt it. Maybe he knows for sure there is nothing ....but......

Did they put you on synthroid, or are they planning RAI?  I understand why you are worried...I would definitely mention it to your surgeon/endo.
