Thryoid Scar

I had a total thyroidectomy one month ago.  Does anyone have opinions on what has worked the best for them in reducing the scar?  Based on my research, I have narrowed it down to Bio-Oil or Mederma SPF 30.
Thanks!
P.S. If I go for the Bio Oil, I can always use a separate SPF cream on it.

I was told to use Vitamin E lotion, and I also had one oniment prescribed (but can't remember the name). I have had a TT & later a head/neck dissection, & you can't tell I ever had surgery.

I had my TT on Jan, 12, 2011 and i have been putting vitamin E on oil on it every night and it is remarkable how well it is healing...massage the oil into the scar to break up the scar tissue every night.

Any organic (and I mean truly natural not just a fancy label!) oil, such as almond oil, rice bran oil, etc work the best. Pure Vit E capsules pricked open and smeared on the scar work well too. Just don't use anything which has added chemicals.

I tend to get keloid (thickening) of scars and used rice bran oil both surgeries and my scar whilst still noticeable due to the wideness of it is nice and soft and supple.
Cheers

My scar is virtually undetectable. I used a  gel strip scar treatment.  It's sold in CVS and called Dr. ???  Since I keloid, I always use gel strips.
