Is there a website to find a good endo that specializes in thyroid cancers? I need to get this under control as being pregnant has got me worried even more.
Personally, as a thyroid ca patient and all I've read I strongly disagree with her premise unless there's reasons she's not stating of some kind ??????? 1cm is not small and as I understand as a patient (not a dr.) is that they aimfor total supression at 0.1 as listed above for something this size!!!!!!!! Mine were tiny .... <6.0mm ea. and fully encapsulated with no lymph node involvement and I was at 0.667 but could not have quality of life due to symptoms but at least we tried.
You need to see an Endo is my opinion ...... they are on top of all the latest guidelines.
Please keep in touch with us!!!!

As a cancer patient we usually aim for a tsh of no more than 0.1. I assume you are not on meds because they feel your remaining thyroid is producing enough.

She not aiming for anything, and my levels I feel need to be adjusted but she wont give me any meds...So in the mean time I feel like crud (anxiety through the roof, hair is falling out, fatigued (ontop of being pregnant) and a million other things. My TSH was 3.68 (something close to that I dont have paperwork on hand) and my T3 was .09
I had a 1 centimeter pappillary on my right side and she wants to take the other side out for precautionary measures but will have to wait.
Yes, depending on what they found, how many, if it was encapsulated, etc. all play a part in the magical # they strive for. Mine is as close to TSH 1.0 as possible but I cannot tolerate well anythin below 1.8 but with my little tumors they feel it's ok even with the other side intact with a small 4.0mm nodule we ultrasound ev 6 mos for change and so far it's stable.
Is your ENT aiming for a range .. a bit confused?
