Thyroid Nodule - Wha to expect now?

I just recieved the readings of my recently performed Thyroid Sonogram and the results are explained as follows. I would appreciate your thoughts as to what should I expect going forward:
Results: The RT thyroid lobe measures 4.5 x 1.5 x 2.0 cm. It is heterogeneous in its echotexture and has a complex lesion measuring 0.8 x 0. x 0.6cm. Theleft thyroid gland measures 4.7 x 1.9 x 1.7cm. The ithmus measures 0.47cm and is heterogeneous as well. The IMRESSION is: Bilateral large hetergeneous glands with a complex solid thyroid nodule. This could potentially represent multi-nodular goiter. Histologcal diagnosis of the RT thyroid nodule is recommended... FYI, I was recently operated from a Pituitary Gland Macroadenoma

Most pituitary adenomas are benign - but they are usually classified by the hormone they secrete or they are defined as non-secreting. Did you get a copy of the pathology?

I had a couple of pit tumors myself - I am the CL in the pit/brain tumor area... just FYI - keep an eye on the hormones as it is rather unusual post-op pituitary to not be on at least one hormone even just for a while. The pituitary is usually unhappy to be wacked around by the tools. Also, things can change and the lesion may or may not grow back. Is your endo a neuro-endo?

Keep us posted too on the status of the FNA. I also had thyroid issues and quite a few FNAs in my time before my thyroid was removed.

I had a Pituitary Macroadenoma which was benigne as per pathology and I am not taking any hormone replacement... Thanks for the information on potential FNA

Sounds like a FNA is in your future...

What kind of pituitary lesion did you have? Are you taking hormone replacement from that surgery?
