Hi all. This is probably a foolish question, but here goes.... Recently I received my Dr's report from my cardiologist. I have many health issues, unfortunately at this point. In it, he notes; Thyroid masses. Is this common? For all I know it is equivalent to him noting that I have two ears, lol. But I am curious.
I have begun wondering about certain issues and possiblity of thryroid relatedness. I am 50 yr male, had a MVA 9 yrs ago wherein I broke my neck, among numerous other injuries. Ortho performed a C5 -6- 7 discectomy, ant/post, with bone grafts. (titanium wires/plates also). Now obviously he had to move around trachea/esoph. One incision is just aside of where thyroid lies. A few months later I was admitted back in hosp with A-fib. I have read that A-fib can be related to thyroid. I am thinking out loud here, so please excuse me, but any insight would be much appreciated. Thnx, Steve
