Thanks for the replies.
I have several nodules. I couldn't find my last copy of the ultrasound report. The previous one read: complex cystic nodule left lobe anteriorly 5mm.
Complex cystic nodule superior pole of right lobe 7mm x 16 mm. The others measure 2 mm( 3 of them 2 on the right 1 on the left) My gland is normal size though. This was in 2009. My most recent report from ultra sound was that the 7 mm grew to 10 mm x 17 mm. All the others also grew slightly. My ENT the did the uptake scan. I never saw the report just they called and said it was ok. The last scan and ultrasound was in April 2012.

Thyroxine Index=13.67 (3.65-12.26) H
TSH = 1.13 (0.4 - 4.2)
Labs in April 2012: T3 Uptake = 42.5 (32 - 51)
Free T4 = 1.08 (0.61 - 1.12)

this is the only thyroid lab they did
with other labs. They were checking myA1C. Because of my vision change.
I can certainly feel the nodule in my right lobe. I can feel it when I swallow. But recently the ear thing has begun. It's been heavy and painful for 4 months. I do have chronic sinus problems and I know how that feels. This is a different and new sensation in my ear and down my neck muscle into the top outside of my collar bone. The GP said my ear looked fine. She was in a hurry and I didnt even think about the thyroid nodule and that it could be a possiblity until I got home. I have emailed her to ask her about it. My ENT (who is leaving her practice this week :( ]
told me to keep check on my blood work every six months. And if I felt the nodule was getting bigger to check it. She didn't seemed to concerned April of this year.
Thats about it. Thanks

It's true that there are a lot of causes for ear and neck pain. Unless the nodules are unusually large, most likely they would not be the cause of your pain.
What thyroid blood tests are being done and what do you mean by "near normal". What symptoms do you have?
Please post whatever blood thyroid blood tests you have and be sure to include reference ranges, since those vary lab to lab and must come from your own report.
Hello friend, ear pain/eye pain can be caused by many disorders. But from my experiences, sinus issues can cause the symptoms you describe. Sometimes when my sinuses kick in, everything on left side of my face is in pain, including my teeth. Suggest making an appt with ENT. Wishing you well :)
