partial thyroidectomy +post surgical symptoms

I had a partial thyroidectomy six days ago and the surgery  seemed to go very well.  I went home the day after surgery and didn't feel any pain that required any med. except for occasional tylenol.  However, I have been feeling tired, have a low energy level and just don't feel up to doing very much.  Is there a reason for this?

Wow, I am in the exact same boat, lobectomy on Tuesday, no need for pain meds, and I, too am tired.  I don't think my thyroid has caught up to me yet!  I am hoping it is just a matter of adjusting to the surgery.  I am not really worried yet!

are you feeling any better?  I just had a TT on the 20th and I too had very little pain-I did take the pain meds. in the hospital and for 24 hours at home-but haven't needed them since.  I am tired also, but seem to be getting better each day.  Hope you are feeling better!

Are you taking any type of thyroid hormone replacement?  Could be that the remaining part of your thyroid is not making enough hormone.  Have you had any blood work done?  Having low energy after surgery is normal-you should be getting a little stronger each day-if not speak to your doctor.  Hope you feel better soon.
