Thanks for the advice. I believe you are right on the hypothyroidism. I do have symptoms.
Although TSH is a pituitary hormone that is affected by many variables, it can be an indicator of thyroid problems. Much better as indicators are symptoms and the levels of the actual, biologically active thyroid hormones, free T3 and free T4.
You did not list a reference range for the FT4 result but I'm sure it is at the very low end of the range. Along with TSH being over the high limit of the AACE's currently recommended reference range, I'd say it's most likely that you are hypothyroid. Are you having hypo symptoms? If so, then that would confirm hypothyroidism.
In that case I would suggest further testing. To start I would suggest adding free T3, TPO ab and TG ab. If you would get those done and get a copy of the lab report and post all results here, along with reference ranges, then members can help interpret and advise.
