Not diabetic never been tested for vitamins. Not sure about t3 or t4
Have your doctors tested Free T3 and Free T4?
Per AJWS6 - Are you diabetic? Numbness and tingling in hands and feet are symptoms of diabetic neuropathy. They can also be symptoms of long standing untreated vitamin B-12 deficiency. Have you been tested for that?
Are your vitamin D levels normal?
Sounds silly but doctors just keep shrugging there shoulders at me because they have got a clue at what to do
Is TSH the only test that's being run on you? You should also be getting Free T3 and Free T4, which are the actual thyroid hormones, but I see you are in U.K and we know from past experience with other members it's difficult to get adequate testing due to stringent regulations of NHS.
If you're having trouble losing weight, that would be another indication that your thyroid hormones may not be properly adjusted.
Have you had Free T3 and Free T4 tested?
My hands go numb even when asleep which wakes me up and when I get up from sitting i hoble because my feet are sore. I have mentioned this to doctors in the past and they tell me to lose weight
I have a under active thyroid and my tsh levels are 23 I have currently been on 100 micro grams of thyroxine for the past 8 years but the doctor has just increased my melds to 125 micro grams
I just responded to another question from you... are these questions related? Typically, it's best to keep all your questions in the same thread, so we don't keep asking you to post the same information over and over.
Hands and feet going to sleep isn't, typically, a thyroid symptom, though, numbness and tingling can be a symptom of hypothyroidism.
Have you been diagnosed with a thyroid condition? If so, which condition? Are you currently taking a thyroid medication? If so, which one, what dosage and for how long have you been taking it?
If you have thyroid related test results, please post them, so we can see what your thyroid status is. Be sure to include reference ranges, which vary lab to lab and have to come from your own report.
