To answer Ablation Questions!!

Sorry I'm late to respond! Crazy weekend. Anywho... The ablation was because I had severe bleeding with my periods. I'm talking BAD! And this was causing me to be severely anemic.
So one day I was at my OB and he suggested The NovaSure procedure! He said it would lighten my periods by 85% or even stop them!! Well I went for my surgery with an aweful period.. walked out with nothing!!! it does not start menopause or have any issues with my ovulation. I will still get PMS, but he said it will drop significantly as well. I can still get pregnant as well but its not recommended. They basically go in and zap your uteris lining.

I had a slight period on and off for a few months. It was nothing like my periods before, but I had some spotting. It will be a year in Feb since my ablation and I have probably had 3 spotting cycles. Nothing and I mean nothing close to what I went through before.
Before the ablation, I would bleed like the RED SEA for days!! It was s bad so bad that I became anemic from it. So I am very pleases with the results.
My mom in law had it and hasnt had a period since. I believe she hit her year mark. My OB said that if you continue to get our period, unfortunately your period may remain the same. Yours was about 2 months ago? You should definitely see some results by now.

Hi, I had the Novasure procedure done on Sept. 29, 2009. I was having 7-10 day heavy periods so my Dr. recommended it. They put me to sleep and it was off to the races... I woke up in pain and was given meds.. After the procedure I had light bleeding and discharge for about 4 weeks, and cramped for about three days. I got my regular period almost a week later. I am now on my second cycle since the procedure and haven't seen any changes. My period still flows heavily as if nothing happened. My question is how long should It take to see any results, or is this a sign that the procedure didn't work?
