They must check for TPO antibodies during the blood test. If the feeling is constant, not from time to time check your neck for unusual bumps of protrusions in thyroid area; if one is found contact the doctor .

Find another DR. If this is serious and hinders either your breathing or swollowing have it checked out in the ER. I would sugest an Endocronoligist that specilizes in thyroids. This I have learned from this site.
Thank you for replying. It just concerns me because it is constant now.
You may have so called 'thyroiditis attacks' during which the thyroid became tender [it is normally soft] this condition is common for patients with chronic autoimmune thyroiditis.
