Hyperthyroidism?

I am looking for some answers onwhat I should do next. I have the heart palpitations (cardiologist couldn't find anything wrong after several tests, 3yrs ago) Now, after having a baby Oct07 I noticed a lump on my neck. I just related it to my difficult pregnancy, poor immune system, being on bed rest for a month, C-section, all the stress so I didn't get it checked for a year. In Jan09 I had a biopsy(3rd dr. later) and he drained my 7cm goiter (cystic) and also wanted to remove my thyroid. I don't want that but I don't know what to do now. The symptoms I'm having make me feel like I might be dying. Anyone out there with answers?

Be careful that yr levels of FT3 dont go too high or you could experience thyroid storm which is Atrial Fibrillations and is very dangerous (basically causing the heart to go into overdrive.
Get yr FT3 and FT4 checked asap.
Ask your Doc for a beta blocker as this will stop the palpitations but also help stop the FT3 going too high.
Its very important to get these tests done with the TSH.
Have you been checked for Graves Disease (antibody testing)?
If not, get this done when you get the others done.
I wouldnt be waiting until August for the blood tests.
