What to do next?

Hello,
I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's thyroiditis after the birth of my son 16 years ago. Have always had normal thyroid blood tests except for elevated antibody levels.Have always felt fine. Recently had a sensation of something being stuck in my throat, and tightness and slight tenderness in the neck area, over my thyroid. Thyroid ultrasound shows an enlarged thyroid gland with the left lobe measuring 2x3 x 1.7 x 6.0 cm and the right lobe measures 2x9 x 2.2 x6.2 cm. The left upper pole posteriorly has a 1.1 x 0.6 x 0.9 cm nodule. There are other subcentimeter nodules. Interior and posterior to the lower pole f the left lobe there is a 7mm lymph node. All blood levels are normal including TSH, T4, CBC, and Sed rate. A fine needle biopsy is scheduled in one month.
The feeling in my throat is completely unnerving, it feels like something is pressing on the back of my throat and the sensation is worse when touching my thyroid area. My endocrinologist feels this is thyroiditis, and will eventually subside and go back to normal. My question is, DO you agree with this diagnosis? How would you treat it? IS it common to have a normal sed rate and still have thyroiditis?
Any suggestions/information owuld be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.

You have to trust your endo. It looks like she is doing the right thing by ordering a fine needle biopsy to rule out cancer. Let us know the results, OK?

What are the exact levels of TSH and T4, and is that T4, Free or Total?  They are not the same.  Please post results, with reference ranges, which vary from lab to lab, so must come from your own report.  It's very possible to have symptoms/thyroiditis with normal levels.

Thyroiditis is swelling/inflammation of the thyroid, which is very common with Hashimoto's, as are the nodules.

It's best not to touch/massage/palpate the thyroid area, as you can irritate it further.
