You have to trust your endo. It looks like she is doing the right thing by ordering a fine needle biopsy to rule out cancer. Let us know the results, OK?
What are the exact levels of TSH and T4, and is that T4, Free or Total? They are not the same. Please post results, with reference ranges, which vary from lab to lab, so must come from your own report. It's very possible to have symptoms/thyroiditis with normal levels.
Thyroiditis is swelling/inflammation of the thyroid, which is very common with Hashimoto's, as are the nodules.
It's best not to touch/massage/palpate the thyroid area, as you can irritate it further.
