"I'm sure the antibodies would start munching away again."  If it took 45 yrs for the antibodies to destroy my thyroid the first time, I probably wouldn't have to worry about it a second time, because I don't plan on being around 45 yrs from now........LOL

Agree about the gluten free issue.

On the other hand- This could give a chance for the hard core gluten free crowd to see if gluten really is responsible for the thyroid antibody attack in their case.

Maybe they can do a core exchange like they do for some high replacement auto parts LOL.

If we were only mice...

Jumping ahead:  I assume this would not work in the case of autoimmune thyroid disease.  Wouldn't the antibodies do to the replacement thyroid the exact same thing they did to the original?
