Feel awful on the generic of Synthroid 75mcg

I have gained 40+ pounds since starting Levo... I am hypothyroid.  I am at a loss as what to do.  I used to be active and outgoing and fun. I'm tired, foggy, lazy and fat.  How can I lose weight with thyroid disease and how can I get my meds to feel like they are working? My Endo says my levels are fine so there's no need to change anything.

It sounds like your meds are not properly adjusted for you.  Please post your most recent FT3, FT4 and TSH results.  Post reference ranges along with those since ranges vary lab to lab and have to come from your own lab report.

You might just need an increase, or, as Julescl suggest, you might need to add a direct wource of T3 to your meds (either synthetic like Cytomel or dessicated like Armour or other brands).

Your endo should be addressing your symptoms and not just your numbers.

I personally had the same issues and went to a new Dr who said let's try Armour. I love it no longer have the brain fog, tired, rash, etc now I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel in stead of looking into a dark scary cave. I felt it after 2 days. And no jitters with the increase that I had on synthroid. But I have to wait for a few more weeks to get a good blood test. I have been trying to get euthyroid since JAN 2011. 20 lbs gained I have lost 3 since starting 1 grain armour:)
