I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. My t3 was very low. After a few years they decided to take me off synthroid and said my tsh remained normal. So my guess is I am not hypothyroid now?

That's a possibility.  Did they test FT3 and FT4 as well as TSH?  I notice you said that you were originally put on meds because your T3 was low.

How are you feeling off meds?  How much Synthroid had you been taking?

My understanding is they went by the tsh. Other than losing weight I never noticed a lot of difference on or off the medication. I took .05mg. Thank you for your input.

You were on a pretty low dose.  It would be nice to have FT3 and FT4 to confirm, but if you feel as well now as you did when on meds, I guess you're no longer hypo!  Congratulations!
