best option

Which is the best decision to live with thyroid either to take medication for whole life or to go for surgery....tq

If he has surgery, he will then be hypo and will have to take a different pill, for the rest of his life, to replace the hormones his thyroid would normally make, because one can not live without thyroid hormones.

That's why I said "either way, he will have to take a medication for life".

Yeah....always...but to put yourself on med for life...it's tough to maintain ....am trying to find other way if there is.....

Tq barb135....Well...it's my hubby...and he had confirmed  thyroid since 2009.....it's hyper...

Either way you will have to take a medication for life.  Once you have no thyroid, you will have to take replacement medications.

What is your particular problem?  Hyper, hypo?
