can secondary adrenal insufficiency ever go away?

i have had a ct scan which showed no apparent pituitary disease--but the endo said that  that doesn't mean that my pituitary still isn't working right.   she told me that sometimes some cells just stop working.  somewhere i thought i read that it is not common for the pituitary to have only a problem with producing ACTH---but that seems to be what is going on with me.    i'm just wondering if there is any chance that my pituitary could get ithings back in gear and that i might eventually be able to try and wean off of hydrocortisone?  i've heard that secondary AD is not curable---but i was hoping that maybe there was more infor out there that might tell me otherwise?

most definately there is alot of information. Your not mentioning anything about thyroid disease but that along with AD is large.

Why is the pitutiary being anaylzied as it is if CT scans came out OK?

I'd advise you to go deeper in saliva testing for the entire endocrine system to pin point the weak levels and addressing everything properly.
