TSH and pregnancy

I am now 25 weeks pregnant and I'm wondering if I still need to be as vigilent about having my TSH checked as I was in the beginning of my pregnancy.  I had it checked a lot in the beginning to make sure that it never went over 2.5  I had it checked 2 weeks ago and it was 2.05.  I have been a little hoarse lately and have some eczema on my hands (these are usually signs that I need more medication.)  I doubt the doctor will want to check it again now, but I'm concerned that my TSH may be over 2.5 if I'm having symptoms.  Thanks for your input.

I would call both your endo and your OB and let them know.  You may be surprised; sometimes non OB docs get really nervous when their patients are pregnant and are willing to be a little more vigilant and careful.  Like skymax I was hyper (actually in remission) while pregnant w/ my 2nd child and I got my tsh checked every 4-6 weeks and I had u/s done once a month for the last 3 months of my pregnancy in the neonatology office because I was considered "high" risk.  My son was born healthy (and 16 days late!!) 2 years ago.  I hope all goes well with the rest of your pregnancy.  I am a firm believer in listening to your body - you know it best and keep knocking on doors & heads until someone will listen to you.

When I was pregnant, my thyroid was checked monthly. And the last month, I had to go in for a no stress test weekly because of my thyroid. I was hyperthyroid and my baby is very healthy. He was born in Jan. of this year.
