Oh that stinks! I agree with the others though, do not hesitate to call the Dr if you are concerned, I said it once before, but in reverse, the Dr does not hesitate to bill your insurance or bill you... right?
As far as everything goes, you just need to let your body heal... slow down, take it easy, you will get feeling better a bit at a time. One step forward, two back they say. Good luck and best wishes!!

I don't blame you for being tired of it all, and I'm pretty sure that no one out here thinks you're complaining. It's nice to see posts from people who have had the same experience and felt and/or feel the way you do!! Hopefully, this is just part of the healing process and eventually you'll have more good days than bad. I sure hope so anyway!

I went through that...one day good..then bad...it does get progressively better...really it does...
no the fever finally broke last friday and its been okay since then. The only thing I can think of is I went grocery shopping yesterday. I have them bag up stuff in lots of little bags but....maybe I strained or over did it with that.....I dont know.....really sore today.......and no energy..I think thats because Im down in the dumps rather then being sick or something. Just tired of all of this.
sorry about all the complaining.....seems like all I do these days. :-)
I'm so sorry to hear that you're feeling crappy again!! Did the surgeon tell you to move your neck from side to side after surgery? I know mine did, now if only I remember to do that!! I can't remember how long ago it was that you had surgery? It seems to me like the swelling should be going down and staying there. I know you don't want to call the surgeon, but if it doesn't get better today, you probably should. Are you running a fever?
yikes- i would probably call your surgeon even though you hate the run around- because your health is worth it !!!!!
Hang in there!

SORRY you're not feeling well!! :( When did you have surgery? I'm having mine Aug 16 for a 5.2cm nodule/goiter. try not to put any strain on your neck. i just had gallbladder surgery bcz of stone and they said no pushing, pulling or lifting for 3-4wks. i push a little mirror and boy can i feel it! so i'll make sure when i have my thyroid surgery so i'll be more careful. i had my right thyroid removed 20yr ago but, i really don't remember much about it! i hope everything went well with the surgery. i read on another msg. board that someone ate lots of rice and mashed potatoes. hopefully the swelling will go down and you can eat. HOPE YOU FEEL BETTER SOON!!!
I find that when I overdo things this happens to me...my husband learned about lymph massages and does this for me just on my neck and head. and it seems to make it lessen. BUT NOT if you have a cancer dx or an infection. Ask your doctor about it.
Are you lifting? vacuuming? mopping? my doctor told me to be careful of any strain on my neck or shoulders.
Let me know how it goes

Sorry you're going thru so much. You might to trying drinking some Ensure, just to make sure you're getting enough nutrients. Hope you feel better soon!
