Blood test okay

I already take synthyriod but I have been exhausted, gained 12 lbs in 6 months, racing heart, constipation, etc. I went for blood work and my TSH is 3.41 and my doctors says it is not that.
She said she only needs to check my TSH when I am already taking medicine and wants to do a sleep study?  Could I possible need to up my medicine? Could this be related to my thyroid?

Yes, see and endo. They are more in tune with these guidelines. Good luck.

I see a family doctor and I emailed her about what I am finding on the internet and she said my thyriod is fine. I think I need to go see and endocronoligist, what do you think?

Medline reference:

"If you are being treated for a thyroid disorder, your TSH level should be between 0.5 and 2.0 mIU/L."

Some doctors treat to get TSH into the Normal Range of the lab, obviously this is not good enough.
Coincidentally, 95% of people not at risk for thyroid disease have a TSH less than 2.5.
