I haven't done any reading on it in a while, but last I researched amio, I found its half to be years. In other words, it can take a long time to get out of your system. However, amio impacts conversion of T4 to T3 because of its effects on the enzymes that catalyze the conversion (deiodinases). Amio doesn't really wreck your thyroid. Conversion happens outside the thyroid.
Do you have FT3 and FT4 results (with reference ranges)? If so, please post. How much levo do your take? Do you have symptoms?
Permanent amiodarone-induced hypothyroidism (AIH) after withdrawal of amiodarone is almost always associated with underlying thyroid disease (eg: Hashimoto's thyroiditis).
