Thanks Red.
I went ahead and took it. The fever and aches and other symptoms were already gone, just coulldn't shake the cough part, which often happens w/ me, turns into chronic bronchitis and then I cough so much I can't sleep. It was so odd w/ the flu...temp went up to 101, then down to 96.2. Now temp is back to my "new norm" of 97.3. "Norm" since I've been having the thyroid problem, that is. It used to be 98.6 but no more. Now I'm cold all the time and have to wear socks to bed.
Cross my fingers w/ this endo, he specializes in Thyroid, not Diabetes. When I spoke w/ his nurse I said I'm interested in someone who will rely on the Free tests, described all the problems I've had w/ other doctors, lack of proper adrenal testing, etc.. She was very encouraging and made this special effort to get me in there before May. Good thing, I've lost a baseball-sized wad of hair in the last 2 weeks and am broken out in a rash.
Haven't forgotten the "sue your doctor" thread, just really haven't been able to get out of bed ! Interested in what others have to say about a possible link to "Alzeheimer's" and misdiagnosis. Thinking about you w/ good thoughts for your health.
Thanks again,
artfemme
I know you say the endo appt is tomorrow but ideally it should be tested when you feel better. If you can't wait then so be it. It won;t be a total disadvantage but the levels may be slightly off.
