Hi Again!  I had just a very small crease line on my neck and was not even fully attatched but the surgeon cut along it even alittle uneven to go with the natural crease I can very obviously see the scar but it is no thicker than a bad cat scratch scar I got years ago, I'm glad scarves are in:)  I used Bio-oil on my scar after the steri-strips fell off.(with alittle help from me)  I never had any pain at the incision area, I do however have discomfort where she had to cut my strap muscle, it still feels very tight.  I will be getting a scan in the new year to see if everything has healed properly.
As far as my diet right after surgery I was only comfortable eating applesauce and soup, in about a week I ate mashed potatoes and squash and eggs for some protein.  I am having issues with my tsh right now but I think that is fairly normal after a TT.
Any other questions, please ask away..............

Doc said it is going to be more noticable then they like,

Can you guys please tell me how it went afterwards? wht you used to heal the scar?

Any advice would be great.

I had a TT on August 26 of this year. I was a bit freaked out myself, but in the end my scar is the least of my concerns.  You can barely notice  it.  The surgeon cut along a natural fold on my neck as well.  Healed really fast on the outside, still having tightness from the inside though.  But all in all feel pretty good and I am glad my thyroid is gone!  I had 12 nodules the biggest one being 5cm!  Good Luck!

I can hardly see my scar, and they cut me twice in the same spot!  They stitched internally and then put a steri-strip over the actual incision.  They put it in the natural fold of my neck, and you can hardly see it...my second surgery was 6 months ago.  Good luck!
