I shall stick around as I am probably on a lifetime journey here with this disease . I am always the one to fight for the underdog, what else is new. Guess I have another fight, to get health care providers better educated starting with my Doctor.
No need to return the favor...I'm returning the favors of the many people who helped me out when I was first on the forum. Consider sticking around and helping out others who are just starting on their thyroid journey...
I do not know what I would have done without this site. I know that it would have taken me much longer to get the info I need to manage my illness. Thanks so Much. I hope I can return the favor someday.

Surgery is seldom recommended for Hashi's unless there are extenuating circumstances. Removing your thyroid will not solve your problems...you will still have to find the appropriate meds for you. Things do get a bit more stable, but worth the risks of the surgery??? Sometimes the thyroid takes years or even decades to die completely, and sometimes it goes like gangbusters...just don't know.
Unfortunately, that's a total T3 that was run, not a free T3. Your FT4 looks really good...upper third of range. TT3 is very low, but this is considered an antiquated test and has been replaced by FT3, which tells the T3 actually available to your cells.
I'd get FT3 done so that you know where you're starting from and then request Cytomel...definitely. Your FT4 is more than adequate to relieve symptoms. It has to be your FT3 level that is keeping you symptomatic.
Is there a reason I cannot just have them take the damm (thyroid) thing out. I really don't have time to waste waiting for the Thyroid to die so I can stop having all this stupid lack of movement and strength. I am too sore to work out.
