low tsh, prescribed higher mcg of levothyroxine

I've been having a problem with my levels for a long time . My levels have always been labile. For the last 7-plus months I've been taking 125 mcg of levothyroxine. . Yesterday the Dr at the health dept , increased my dose to 137mcg. I gently questioned that, but that's what she gave me. Shouldn't the dose have been lowered?

Well it certainly does look like you are on your way to being hyperthyroid. Your TSH is low..normal values are now .30-3.0. Most patients feel best around a 1.0. Is your T4 a free or total? All totals are outdated and the Frees show the active forms of both T4 and T3. Uptake are a waste of money and senseless for routine labs. I have no idea what your FTI is??  Your T4 lab is definately on the verge of over the high limits.  I think you should call and revisit these labs with a doctor. Don't be afraid to say, "Heh, this is my life and health, and I am on too much medicine!" Go over the ranges with her and ask her for what you want.
