Please request extra testing.  Most critical tests are Ft3 and Ft4.  Keep searching until you find a doctor who will test you, if your existing one won't - unfortunately many doctors will only test TSH, and they don't pay attention to patient's symptoms.

Those symptoms are typically hypothyroid related.  I suggest that you should get the doctor to test you for the biologically active thyroid hormones, Free T3 and FreeT4 (not the same as Total T3 and Total T4) as soon as you can arrange.  Also make sure they always test for those any time you go in for tests.  Since hypo patients are also frequently too low in the ranges for Vitamin D, B12 and ferritin, you should get those done also.

A good thyroid doctor will treat a hypo patient clinically by testing and adjusting Free T3 and Free T4 as necessary to relieve symptoms, without being constrained by TSH levels.  Symptom relief should be all important, not test results.  It would be a good idea to find out if your doctor understands about central hypothyroidism and if he is willing to treat you clinically, as described above, in order to relieve all those symptoms.

When you have new test results, please post them, along with reference ranges shown on the lab report and members will be glad to help interpret and advise further.

I am having extreme fatigue, dry brittle hair with hair loss, achy joints,heavy/irregular menstrual cycles, inability to lose weight. I have been dieting and I exercise at least 4 days a week with combo of cardio and light weight training and have actually gained weight since doing so. I watch calories and carb intake. I have a job where I am on my feet moving 8+ hours a day so I do not have a sedentary job.

Yes, people can have hypothyroidism with such a TSH.  It is called central hypothyroidism, characterized by a TSH that is well within the range, and Free T3 and Free T4 that are also low in the range.  This results from dysfunction in the hypothalmic/pituitary system that does not produce enough TSH to stimulate the thyroid gland adequately.  What symptoms are you having?  If tested beyond TSH, please post those results, along with reference ranges shown on the lab report.
