Does this sound right?

Ok I have been looking more into what Thyroid disorders are and mean... the reason why, because about 2 years ago I had my birth control implant put in, in my party "stage" but right after that and I quit the partying, its like I swelled up in the face neck stomache area I dont know why my eating and is the same as every (tho I really dont eat heathy, but im trying. Im unbelievably picky) and I havent excercised much, I want to but its like I have no time... I mean im about 2 years ago i put on 30lbs i use to be in the 120's... I wanna go back to that so badd.... is some thing like a thyriod disorder wrong with me? please help all advice will be taken!!!

pop to the docs dancergirl....no sense worrying when you can  get checked out.

I hope it's nothing serious.  People on here can only speculate though, talk to your doctor.

i have not gotten my period since april. I have taken 3 pregnancy tests and they all came out negative. I am worried this could maybe be a thyroid problem?? someone help me

Estrogen patches, pills and implants can lower thyroid function. The tests Barb gives above can tell if you are having issues.

When life style changes happen like you not doing things you did that could have sped metobolic and endocrine conditions and could stall things until your body adjusts to the change too.

You need to talk to your doctor and get blood tests to see if you have a thyroid issue.  At the very minimum, you need to get tested for TSH, Free T3 and Free T4; those will confirm if you have an issue.  Once you get that far, there would be further tests to be done.
