My 13 yr old daughter orignally hurt her shoulder/neck in swimming 17 months ago. She has seen many dr and physios and not able to work out what is causing the problem. Even a neurosurgeon and a sports dr. She has had MRI's of the shoulder, cervical spine, brachial plexus. Then she was recalled to do my scans where it was found she has an enlarged thymus gland with superior extensions with lobulations into her neck.
My question is - should she be under the care of a specialised Dr and which speciality should that be?
Also could this be the cause of the pain especially when she is swimming?
What tests should she be having - blood work?
What else should should I be doing to try to solve the pain mystery? Thanks
I understand that Myasthenia Gravis can cause enlargement of the Thymus gland.
