HI Jules~~Mine were recently >1300.00. I have been treated for Hypothyroidism for over 14 years. Did they check your TSH, FREE T3 and FREE T4?? This will give a much better picture as to whether you need treatment as this time or not. Do you have any symptoms??
Science has not proven this to be true.
Antibodys are not curable nor treatable and they wax and wan (go up and down on their own).
But the thyroid condition antibodies causes is, which is related in thyroid levels.
I take selenium with all my other vitamins and minerals.
Good luck with taking it.
thanks for writing me. I believe the other test that they did were ok. I'm kind of relieved to hear that someone actually had a peroxidase reading that high and is alive and well. The strange thing is is that earlier this year my ovaries stopped working and i was diagnosed with premature ovarian failure (at 36 years old) with an FSH of 80. Now my FSH is normal I had it read 4 times since... and I am getting periods again. I was told by my obgyn that this would be impossible for my ovaries to recover from a FSH of 80. Then how is this happening? My symptoms are VERY cold hands and feet. depression and a VERY stiff jaw. Also I have morning sweats. I have had two hot flash type attacks, where I vomit and lose feeling in my legs and hands. I actually had one in the OBGYN's office and she hosptialized me because she had never seen anything so severe. She thought I may have had a thyroid storm. She ran a series of tests but those particular tests on my thyroid came back normal. then I had the peroxidase levels discovered by an endocrinoligst a couple of weeks ago. uhhhg. I think something is seriously wrong with me. Any insights? Your feedback is much appreciated.
