thigh pain and numbness

I was diagnosed with blood clots in my right calf in May andhave been on Warfarin.  My levels are 1.9-1.6 and I was getting better.  The swelling stopped about 10 days ago.  3 days ago the swelling came back and is worse than ever.  Now I am having a buning stabbing pain in my thigh in the front and it hurts very badly especially when I try to walk.  My dr. said it can not be a clot because I am on the warfarin but I am very scared.  WHen I touch that area of my thigh it feels numb but only in about a 6 inch radius.  I have MS and Fibr and many other conditions as well.  Can someone please tell me what this could be?  Is there a possibility it is life threatening?

I found out yesterday what is wrng with me.  It is called LATERAL FEMORAL CUTANEOUS NERVE ENTRAPMENT.  Most of the time they have to do minor surgery to fix it.  At least I know now it is not another blood clot.  I go back to the dr. next week and they are gonna do something.  Right now they put meon Neurontin which is a nerve pain med and it has helped some since starting it yesterday.  Makes me really drowsy though.

Are you taking any other medication?  Is your doctor a cardiovascular doctor?
