thyroid levels are normal but feels always sleepy

Hello
I'm male 40. My thyroid levels are (T3-1.58 nmol/L, T4-87.60 nmol/L & TSH-3.13uIU/ml). These are reported to be normal in diagnostic reports. But problem is that I feel always sleepy and can sleep at any time. I don’t feel refreshed even after a long sleep and still feels sleepy. My weight is 67 kgs and my height is 5 feet 6 inches. If I stop a day going to loo, either of the eye will pain severely. All other reports are normal. I am a non-smoker and non-alcoholic. It seems to be Hypersomnia but even the modafinil could be of no use. I consulted an endocrinologist and was diagnosed of no problem. But I feel always sleepy what could be my problem? Please help me.

Yes, of course, you can post a question... it might be better if you post your own thread, so your question gets the attention it deserves, as opposed to attaching to an old thread, such as this one.

You've attached to a very old thread and Kiran73 is no longer active on the forum, so it's very unlikely he'll respond to your comments.

100 mcg levothyroxine is very often too high a dose to start with... We, typically, find that starting at a lower dose (25-50 mcg) and working slowly works much better for most people.  Many people find a dosage less than 100 mcg that works just fine for them.

Additionally, there is no set TSH level, because once a person gets on replacement thyroid hormones, TSH becomes totally irrelevant, because it does not correlate with symptoms or either over or under medication.  Free T3 and Free T4 levels are much more important, with Free T3 correlating best with symptoms...

You have Hypothyroidism. You will need a prescription for Levothyroxine. Start with 100mcg and titrate every 6 weeks until TSH is under 2. No lower than 0.7 but it depends on how you feel.

Are you taking a multivatimin? You should try taking the ''B'' (6,12)vitamin family as it's known to give some energy. Your iron may be low too, which is common in thyroid disease.

For thyroid, even more important than a test result is the position within the range.  This is because the ranges are too broad.   A test result just within the limit does not mean that all is okay for you.  Were those tests for Free T3 and T4 or Total T3 and T4?  Also, please post the reference ranges that go with the T3 and T4 results so that members can get a better idea of your status.
