Temporary loss of vision

Last night was my 23rd Birthday. I went to eat dinner with my husband, and I had 2 Margarita's. I am also on fluextine (prozac)medication.I never drink, so I asked my dr. if a few drinks on my B-day would seriously interfere with the prozac..he said not at all. He said I might become drowsy. Well when we got home we made love (sorry but I am trying to figure out what happened). When I got up I had a complete sudden loss of all vision. It was like a light switch got turned off. After about 1 minute, I started seeing fuzzy dark images, and then after about another minute, I could see normal again....Needless to say this scared me to death... I cannot figure out why this happened??? I do not wear glasses or contacts, I have never had any problems with my eyes...Has anyone ever heard of this happening and why ???? I am really quite scared.

For some people, when they come close to passing out, their vision blacks out for a minute or two. This has hapened ot me before. It may have just been from the alcohol and prozac, then making love took some blood and oxygen from your brain. If you got up very quickly, this could be the cause. You should still ask you Dr. though.

I would report this episode to your doctor. It may be nothing or it may be something serious but anything to do with vision is worth noting.
