Am I going Nutz?

I've been to so many Doctors and just recently got back from an MRI which they say I wont get the results from until next week.  They say I'm probably fine but I'm in so much pain.  My legs and my hips hurt so badly, I dont even know why they wanted me to get an MRI, Isnt that for the brain?  All they said when I asked why the MRI was "we want to rule out everything we can"
I've been to a Rhumatologist for abot 100 blood tests and they have already ruled out Lymes Disease, Auto-immune Diseases and Arthritis.  I can barely get around and they wont even give me anything to help the pain. They act like I'm only making the pain up to get vicoden so now I feel like I'm just going nutz and maybe the pain's not even real.  This has been going on for almost two years and I cant stand it anymore.
Once and a while I get a Doctor who will give me something for the pain but that is few and far between,

Has anyone ever had these symptoms and they know what it is? Or am I just going nutz?

Help me please, I can barely stand it anymore

Just in case, how is your sleep? I used to sleep so restlessly and awaken to the covers on my bed in disarray and wonder what had happened in there while I slept.  All the while my daytime sleepiness, muscle and joint pain in the legs and hips, and utter misery increased. Turned out my legs jerked sometimes hundreds of times a night.

Not likely you have the same issue, but can't hurt to ask. It's more prevelant than one would think.

Hang in there, and please let us know about the MRI results.

Thank you for your reply, its defenitly something to think about. I'm so deperate for answeres and just plain tired of the pain.  I think when you are a woman when you mention the words chronic pain doctors go directly to a list of psychological conditions.
I'm glad someone was able to find answeres for you.
I appriciate the vote of confidence and will keep my fingers crossed for this MRI to give some cause for the pain although part of me does not want it to show anything that could be serious.  A little nerve wracking to have to sit and wait!

Cheers

Living with chronic pain for which no one seems to be able to find a cause will certainly make someone feel like they're losing their mind. Maybe this MRI will hold some explanation for you.

I did have a similar path, in the respect that I was tested for the same types of things with no diagnosis. Finally a sleep study showed I had Periodic Limb Movement Disorder, and I'd had symptoms for years. My legs had not had a night's rest in who knows how long. No wonder they hurt.

I don't know where your pain comes from, but please don't give up on finding an answers.
