Having dermoid and fertility

I have been diagnosed through CT scan and ultrasound a dermoid cyst of 11*10cm in my right ovary. Doctor have suggested a surgery. Two months back I had a c-section. My baby could not survie as he suffered severe asphxia.
The doctor says she will open the same scar for this surgery. Is it ok to do that? I want to have chikdren as soon as possible. After how long this surgery I can concieve and does this surgery will have any effect on fertility. My left ovary is alright. The Dr suggested to take iron and calcium after the c section. I am taking these vitamins from last two months.Could calcium tablets can be the reason of this dermoid? Any doctors or gynacologists please reply.

First of all, let me tell you how sorry I am that you lost your little baby. Iknow that you must be very scared abt this surgery. Going in through the same scar is better than making a new one, because a new incision will cause more scar tissue. having a lot of scar tissue can make it harder to get pregnant. My friend had exploratory surgery where they opened her abdomen, and then got pregnant the very next month. She had no complications as a result of getting pregnant so soon after surgery. I wish you the best of luck with starting your family. I know how devastating it can be to have to keep trying.
