MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
If you are on a new medication, have heart pounding, and unable to breathe while lying down, then do discuss with your doctor.
It is also possible that the new drug is causing acid reflux. Raise head end of bed while lying down, and see if it helps. Also avoid spicy food, smoking, alcohol, fuzzy drinks etc. It may help.
Needless to say, inform your doctor. He may change timing or dose of the drug or may change the drug or add something to control your acidity or reflux. Take care!

Let's look at this one part at a time;

1.  BP 126/55 is fine, no worry here.

2. heart rate at 90, yes that is a bit high for resting rate, but I see it plenty of times when the patient is stressed.

3.  Can't breathe issue- well based on your other complaints, would you say you are a high stress person? any panic attacks? or is only after starting to take the new med?

4.  You did not mention the medicine you started taking which would be very helpful in taking a candid look at your concerns.

can you reply with the name of your new medication (and any others you are on) that might be contributing to your problem? I will do my best to help.  In the mean time it might be a good idea to have a friend or family member stay with/check in you until this is resolved. Be sure to let them know what is going on in case that info is need and you can't give it to the doctor.

I will wait for your reply.
