Painful instep

I have a painful instep from jumping on a shovel without work boots.  The instep is not swollen, red, or bruised, but it is painful to walk on.  Is this just a bruised tendon that will heal in time or should I make a visit to a foot dr.

Hi Dixy, First you have to remember its not just tendons but all your nerves run under your foot, but does sound like a bruised tendon, the best thing is ice it and take it easy.
Good Luck
