Whats wrong with me

I have a very bad pain in my left side just below my rib cage.  It hurts when I depress it and when bending down or moving around in bed.  When my 10 month old climbs on me holding onto my side I cringe.  I had my gall bladder removed in October.  This pain started around November.  Any idea what it could be.

Hi,the same thing happened to me, but I could not tolerate the pain. I went to the hospital and they said that i had an infection in my large intestine. I had a CT scan. The DX was colitis. Seeing a GI doctor this monday 3-12-12.

I too have had my gall bladder removed and the pain is a little similar to it. Hope this helps.

I googled your symptoms, and a whole list of things came up. Three of which were IBS, muscle strain, and cramps. These can all be helped by drinking more water and taking ibuprofin.

If you've done any physical activity, you could have easily pulled a muscle, as well.

Still, the pain while pressing doesn't fit. You might want to go to your doctor to get checked out and make sure nothign more serious is going on.
