I'm sixteen years old as of March this year, and I've never had regular or painless periods.
Mine usually last up to a week or eight days, very heavy flow, with unbearable cramping the whole way through.
A few months ago, my period hit, and I was okay, but the second day I got up in class and asked to go to the bathroom. I must have looked really upset because that teacher never lets me leave the class.
I begged pills off my friend in another class and took them.
When I got back to class the pain just got worse and worse, and my vision started to go black, so I stood up to tell the teacher I thought I should go to the nurse's office. I didn't take two steps before someone said "She's going to faint." and I passed out, apparently hit the thousand dollar projector too, broke the cover off it.
I woke up after that and vomited all through the garbage can.
Ever since this incident this has happened -every- period. They used to be bad, but now I can hardly motivate myself to go to school during my period. I hate missing school and not seeing my friends, and if I'm gone more than five minutes while I'm on my period they worry about me.
If it helps, I'm five foot six, around 100 pounds [naturally].
I've never had an eating disorder, I've always been slender. I started my period late, around thirteen or fourteen years of age, I don't quite remember.
I've also heard natural blondes have worse periods, but I'm pretty sure that's just a stupid story. I am blonde though. >.>;;
I've read up on disorders such as dysmenorrhea, but it said that this usually occurs after the age of 20.
What do you suggest I do for these terrible periods?
I'll post a picture of myself so you can get a good look at me, I don't know if it would help at all. But it might.
