lots of things going on, not sure what it is, on medication for depression, etc.

I've recently started taking medication for depression/anxiety as well as a sleepaid, im not sure exactly what is going on so any advice would be awesome. This has been going on for months and need some relief, this past year has been traumatic. I've lost close to 60 lbs and have completely switched over to a primal/paleo diet, i also do high intensity training about once a week.

I've never been a big fan of my work but feel it has some if not a lot to do with it, around the time i switched over my diet, as well as quit dealing with amway and running an amway business (which was a terrible idea), and a bad breakup (which was another bad idea....), i started to feel depressed, moody, not able to concentrate, etc. it snowballed into a bunch of things, i know at first i was trying to cut down my carbohydrates and things got a lot better, i thought at first i might have been diabetic. I can't seem to function or work right though, i am doing much better then I was but would like a much better improvement, I can't seem to sleep at night, i wake up at night, my head hurts from time to time, i sometimes have what i could call hot flashes, at work and around people im nervous/paranoid, i cant concentrate, or be myself, and my head hurts or has weird sensations or feels weird.

I've always been shy around people but have put in a lot of effort into fixing it, i feel as if things should be going perfectly, my diet and exercise is about right, but ive tried using holosync meditation, binaural beats, eft, yoga, but none seem to work, i know the binaural beats and holosync should work but i cant seem to relax. Any help or input would be very appreciated. I was going to go in to get checked on a few things but i dont have much money or health insurance, ive researched online and all i could think of or find is it might be a thyroid problem, some symptoms of anxiety, candida, some nutrition/vitamin/mineral/iron deficiency. I dont want to seem like a hypochondriac but i feel as if something is wrong and need some input/advice help, its been frustrating to say the least.

Also, how do you post to a forum that experts or doctors reply to questions? I couldn't figure that out.

Based on what you are describing I would say that the prevoius answer is reasonable. Your troubles could be caused by your diet or excessive exercise. Either way you are clearly going through a lot and it is common to be unable to sleep or even relax. This does go full circle and can only really improve if you try to relax. Being anxious/stressed will cause paranoia and prevent you from sleeping and sleep deprevation will make you feel terrible. My advice, work out what has caused the stress/anxiety and cut it out. Stick to a diet that allows you to eat normally and eat a decent meal. Bear in mind that antidepressants do not work from day one and can take a while to reach full effect. Hope this helps!

is medicaid for low income families? I still live with my parents and they make just enough money that I wont be able to make it on probably, ive tried looking for some counseling but not sure if I can afford it, even if there is a sliding scale since it is based on my families income

this definitely sounds more like a psychological problem than thyroid, as it appears your anxiety/depression is amplified by specific events.  try to get onto medicaid, or whatever is available in your area and see a psychiatrist.  as far as sleep, you can try OTC sleep aids, but since you also have anxiety if you have a chance to see a doctor try getting xanax or klonopin; they both help with anxiety and sleep.  if you can't get to one, they do sell OTC "mood enhancers" - sam-e is a good one; i took it for a while when i lost my insurance and was out of zoloft.  it may not hurt to try a multivitamin or vitamins high in iron if you think that may be a factor.  and you don't seem like a hypochondriac, at all.  we're all here for the same reason - help.  i hope i could give you that.  (:
