You don't provide much of a history.
"Butt" pains are usually due to sciaticia and a proper diagnosis requires an MRI of the lumbar region L1-L-5. Steroidal injections rarely provide more than a few hours relief. Fortunately the episodes are usually self-limiting.A physical therapy program is usually the first step. And avoiding all lifting. In a worst case a laminectomy should be considered.
Hi
Do you mean you have pain in the injection site? If so, the health care provider could have hit a nerve. If this is not what you mean, I agree with Care Giver, some tests should be run to find out what is causing the pain.
Good catch SassyLassie! It didn't occur to me the pain was from the injection in the butt. Tenderness is often the result of injecting very viscous medications, but after a week the pain should have subsided. Talk to your doctor.
